The Nepal Forum of Environmental Journalists (NEFEJ) has completed 18 years of continuous work in the spheres of environmental protection and sustainable development. NEFEJ was formed in 1986 by a group of journalists with an objective of promoting the participation of mass media - both print and electronic - in raising public awareness in these vital areas of national life. NEFEJ became a Video Research Centre partner of TVEAP in 1995.

NEFEJ now undertakes various programmes covering a multitude of activities to effect positive changes in the environmental field and other social areas. A pioneer in its field, NEFEJ has grown to be a unique media organization and one of the most active environmental NGOs in Nepal.
